The two islands of Umm Al Qamarie Reserve are located further north off Al Qunfudah. Thousands of african Collared Doves and Turtle Doves, for which the islands are named,breed here.Herons,pelicans,gulls and osprey also share the reserve.Included under protection are the coral reefs just off the islands.Lying only one-half meter below the water`s surface, these reefs support spectacular marine life characteristic of the Red sea.
