Mahazat as-Sayd Reserve


With a 220 k fence completely surrounding its 2,650 square kilometr area,this reserve was establihed for the initial reintroduction of captive- bred Arabian Oryx into their natual habitat.

The first release of this rare and beautiful animal ,now extinct in the wilds of saudi arabia,began in decembre 1988. Houbra Bustards, gazelles,and ostriches will be reintroduced througt this site.
